March 2012 (San Antonio, TX)— The 4th Annual Drive One Home Charity Golf Tournament hosted by Methodist Mission Home (MMH) will be held on Thursday, March 1, 2012 at the Quarry Golf Course, San Antonio, TX. Started in 2008 by two Methodist Mission Home adoptive fathers who wanted to give back, the Drive One Home Golf Tournament continues to grow and bring more community members together each year. We invite golfers and sponsors who wish to support pregnant teens, young women and families who find hope through adoption and young adults with disabilities on a journey to independence to register and play.
The day will be fun packed with networking, eating and golfing for a great cause. Covered by San Antonio’s Fox 29 News, the tournament will kick off with registration and a meet and greet lunch at 11:00 am and a shotgun start at 1:00 pm. MMH students with disabilities will volunteer throughout the day giving golfers the chance to get to know some of the people they are playing for. During the tournament golfers will have an opportunity to buy mulligans, win door prizes and participate in the following contests: Hole-in-One, Drive the Middle, Men’s Longest Drive, Women’s Longest Drive, and Closest to Pin.
Following the tournament, an awards and recognition dinner will be held where the Methodist Mission Home Signs of the Times Deaf Choir will perform. There will also be a silent auction till 7 p.m. for anyone interested in placing a bid on the valuable items up for grabs. All proceeds will go towards Methodist Mission Home programs.
